About

Natural Habitats was contracted to design seven separate green walls spread over five levels and install the roof garden and playground, designed by Boffa Miskell.

The landscape for Auckland’s first retail rooftop dining experience includes lush garden beds equating to 890m2 in size, complementing the expansive views of Rangitoto Island and the central city.  Precise planning and coordination allowed for the smooth transport of over 480m3 of materials to be lifted to the area by crane, including the mature specimen magnolia trees.

The green walls form a total area of 750m2, the largest green wall development in the Southern Hemisphere.  The seven green walls range from 50m2 up to 112m2 in size, comprising over 18,000 New Zealand native plants.  Spread over five levels, the green walls are irrigated with harvested rainwater and maintained via abseil by our specialist team.

Now complete, the urban landscape is bright and vibrant, complementing the vision of a premium “lifestyle destination”.
