Natural Habitats is the result of a young man who loved being outdoors and had a hands-on approach to everything he did.

In 1978 our founder Graham Cleary started digging holes on a gap year with a mate and since then he’s grown Natural Habitats into New Zealand’s most awarded and largest landscaping company.

Natural Habitats offers the full range of landscaping services from design to construction and maintenance.

We have over 170 teammates across Northland, Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown covering all aspects of commercial and residential landscaping.

We exist to create environmental solutions for a better tomorrow and are proud to be the leading provider of green roofs and green walls in the country.

Career Pathways

Our landscapers are the face of our company, creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes for our clients.

They are backed up by our Site Managers and Leading Hands who make sure everything runs smoothly on site from material supply to building and planting.

Project Managers oversee our teams on site, using their extensive experience to liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

Overseeing the team are our Regional and Department managers who support their teams to create amazing landscapes while building relationships with clients to win more projects.
