Suburban Retreat project wins three awards

clyma-deck-dusk“On holiday without leaving home” is how our clients, the Clyma family describe the Suburban Retreat project which was awarded three awards in the 2016 Placemakers Riccarton Landscaping New Zealand awards.

The project which transformed the client’s garden picked up a Gold for Landscape Design, a Silver for Landscape Horticulture and a Silver for Landscape Construction in the Large Residential Project category.

The entrance uses a refined plant palette to set a sophisticated tropical tone and provide a sense of arrival. The garden is a tropical and native escape from the chaos of the city. It provides a real opportunity to relax by inviting the landscape into the living areas, embraces the views beyond the literal boundary as well as access to the stream trickling through the property.

The Landscape Design team on this project were Mark Read and Richard Neville, while the Build Team was managed by Driaan Van Der Westhuizen, and Eliza Whalley was in charge of Care management.
