15 Nov Green revitalisation of Christchurch
Natural Habitats’ green technology solutions are adding value to two significant Christchurch Revitalisation Projects. Natural Habitats is proud to work alongside Otakaro and their consultant landscape architects to help re-build Christchurch into an accessible and green city centre.
“South Frame” is a project we’re working on with landscape architects from Jasmax and LandLAB creating a place for markets, events and celebrations. At the heart of the South Frame will be the Greenway – a mid-block pedestrian and cycling corridor with distinctive raingardens that run the entire east-west length of the development connecting the new Innovation Precinct with the Health Precinct. For the Greenway we have installed Ronstan mesh panels for green screens. For Christchurch, it will be a new mixed use creative district attracting schools, apartments, designers, hotels and food and beverage.
Another project involving green technology expertise is stage one of The Terrace re-development. Working with designers at Jasmax & NH Architects, this project is rebuilding an area around Oxford Tce. As part of our landscaping contact for The Terrace, we will be installing four storey high green screens involving the installation of green screen cabling, planter boxes and planting.
