A big shout out to Brad Murphy from the landscape division and Christian Winfield from the housing division for entering this year’s Prebbles Seeds Young Landscaper of the Year competition and representing us really well.

This is the second time Brad has entered  – and he scored 2nd too! A fantastic effort that reflects the work he has done in his ongoing professional development and growth. He won a good cash prize.

Christian did really well too, learnt lots, and is going to be well placed for next year.

Thanks for representing us so well guys. Leadership , desire to learn, striving to be the best, is really important and you both showed it . Well done.

Brad and Christian competed against eight other young landscapers during the Registered Master Landscapers conference in Hamilton in the last weekend of June.

Each entrant had to undergo a series of written and practical tests as well as a 3-minute speech on the Friday evening of the conference.  The speech this year will be responding to the statement ‘The changing face of the workplace is impacted by young people, says Noel Brown, CEO of RML.

“Those who identify themselves as future leaders have an opportunity to influence the way we work and how business is done,” says Noel.

“The winner, Kae Combridge, is going on to represent the landscaping industry at the Young Horticulturist of the Year Competition in November.”

Natural Habitats is one of the sponsors of the competition as it fosters excellence in our industry.
