Peter de Jager

Over the past 20 years Pete has developed extensive experience across all facets of the landscape industry (including project management, arboriculture, irrigation and landscape design) in both New Zealand and abroad. He is skilled in developing innovative solutions particularly in the field of green technology.

Whilst working with botanists at the NZ Forest Service (now Department of Conversation) Pete gained valuable native plant knowledge, which he has steadily built on throughout his career and continues to do so with the development of New Zealand’s first and largest green walls. Pete also has considerable experience working on large scale team based projects and has recently won a number of competitive tenders for Natural Habitats.

As past president of the Landscape Industries Association of New Zealand for the early part of last decade he led the group’s expansion and today he continues to be an active member in a number of conservation groups including Kiwi Rescue, New Zealand Native Forest Restoration Trust and the Lone Kauri Restoration Trust.
