This garden received the full Natural Habitats design, build, care treatment. Our client’s wanted a comfortable, low maintenance and secure garden for their grandchildren to roam and play in.

We designed a landscape that complements the house, which is designed in the style of Mondrian, a modernist  artist famous for painting simple, strong geometric shapes.

This symbiotic relationship is particularly pronounced in the driveway and lawn areas which are composed of differing rectangular shapes, varying exposed pebble sizes and colour mixes.

Planting is masses in sculptural forms. Smaller courtyard spaces wrap around the building to provide kitchen garden planting opportunities (a modernist herb garden, and integrated espaliered fruit trees along boundary walls) which help soften the straight edge.
