Landscape Installation
Parnell, Auckland
Natural Habitats successfully completed the installation of one of Auckland’s best known art works; Terry Stringer’s Mountain Fountain,1981 from Aotea Squareto its new location in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Parnell, 2010. At night, the new and improved lighting dramatically showcases the sculpture against the Cathedral’s complementary roofline.
A complicated project from the start, our team worked hard to ensure things ran smoothly and to schedule. We were responsible for site and groundwork, structural and construction work, ramps, paving and grassing, services and water treatment. Our extensive experience and carefully planned approach, which involved working concurrently on both internal and external services, enabled us to meet project deadlines.
“Natural Habitats has played a pivotal role in relocating Mountain Fountain into its new location. I would like to thank Natural Habitats for a ‘can do’ attitude and for meeting the challenges a project of this nature brings including a very tight time frame. Mountain Fountain does indeed look wonderful.”
