Queens­town’s most expensive super-home was several years in the making and our Queenstown branch was brought in at the end of the project to make the client’s vision for their green roof a sublime reality.

We custom designed and installed the roof medium in accordance with the weight loading requirements of the architecture. This mix also took into consideration the site conditions, the roof was south facing site and at a high altitude. It required sufficient drainage to maintain plant health and medium that would ensure plants survived the harsh climate. 

Planted with snow tussock these green roofs cloak the garage and guest rooms of this luxurious Queenstown property. As access to the site and roof were difficult a combination of man power and vehicular equipment were utilised during installation.

In addition to the green infrastructure our hard working local teams also supplied and installed a mixture of native trees and shrubs, installed roof irrigation systems and will be carrying out regular roof maintenance visits for 12 months to ensure the roof flourishes.
