Mel Robinson (BA/BLA Hons., Prof. Accred. GDSNZ) prides herself on lateral thinking, creative solutions and a ‘can do’ attitude which has led to the successful design and implementation of a wide range of projects in the residential, commercial, rural, education and aged-care sectors.
Mel’s wide-ranging experience was gained during 10 years of running her own landscape architecture practice in addition to her most recent role as a Senior Landscape Architect at Natural Habitats, delivering high quality outcomes at every phase of the process: from initial site analysis through to completion.
Mel has a great eye for detail and extensive plant knowledge. She is passionate about delivering design that both generates a sense of place and contributes to the wider ecological context, with many of her recent projects involving Low Impact Design solutions and Green Walls.
She recently designed NZ’s tallest outdoor Green Walls for the St Marks Luxury Apartment development.
As a public speaker, Mel has given presentations on landscape design and green wall solutions at Green Building Council events and lectured in Design at the Unitec School of Landscape Architecture.
Mel is also actively involved in community work, volunteering for Garden to Table and Everybody Eats.
