08 Sep 30 Years on and still growing strong…
Back in 1978 a young kiwi bloke with a green thumb and a vision of grand gardens bought a contractor’s barrow, a sturdy pair of gumboots and a strong spade – and went into business. This fellow was Graham Cleary, director and owner of Natural Habitats.
Not afraid to get his hands dirty, Graham rolled up his sleeves and grew Natural Habitats into one of the largest vertically integrated landscape design, construction and specialist garden maintenance companies in the South Pacific.
We are passionate about landscape. We are relied upon to build and care for the landscapes of many of our country’s iconic projects. Based in Auckland, there are local offices in Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.
Among the staff are experienced horticulturists, gardeners, arborists, landscape architects, landscapers and environmentalists – a total of more than 100 fine people. They revel in being a part of an efficient team, adding creativity to concepts or solutions to problems. Our team-based approach will ensure your landscape project is hassle free, completed on time and to budget.
When involved early we can have a beneficial impact on design issues and budgets through the depth of knowledge and experience gained over the decades. And of course we can improve the aesthetics and sustainability of the project.
We take care to protect New Zealand’s native biodiversity while creating safe environments which enhance amenity value and commercial viability.
Natural Habitats is renowned for the quality of its work and recognised for its award winning landscapes. Over the past three decades our peers have bestowed more awards on us than any other landscape company in New Zealand.
We look forward to serving you, where the experience is as satisfying as the outcome.
